I am pretty sure it got damaged a couple years ago when my wife side swiped a post and we paid a body shop to fix the door. There was issues and they had to take it to the dealer to get it working again. I replaced the sliding door contacts on the passenger side. The old ones had worn out and the plastic was damaged and when it didn't make contact, the door buzzed while driving. Replacing the electrical contacts resolved the problem and saved me about $250-$300 in labor. The part was $81 from my local Honda Dealer.
