I bought the rifle from SARCO for $900.00; fully assembled and head spaced. This is a cast receiver made by James River and looks to be cleanly milled and fits the stock tightly.JRA Rockola M14's are a good deal, as its hard to build the same rifle building from parts for the same price, but if you buy your own parts you can control exactly what goes into it.
